Wisdom's Corner
The Way

Have you ever been lost? Perhaps you were with your family on a trip. You may not have had a map of where you were going. After driving for awhile you may have stopped and asked someone if they knew how to get where you wanted to go.

The person may have known and told you how to get there. He knew the way. It is always good to know the way. Without knowing the way, you cannot get to where you want to go.

In Acts 19:4-9, we read about Paul teaching in the synagogue. He was doing a very good job in convincing people about Christ and that they should follow Him. But some became very evil and spoke against "that way." Later in verse 23 we are told there was a large disagreement about "that way." In Acts 24:14 it is referred to as "the way."

Jesus told his disciples that He was going to prepare a place for them. They wanted to know the way to the place. Jesus told them "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (John 14:6).

Jesus is the way to heaven. Only by following Him can we expect to get there. Only by following His commandments can we travel the road to heaven. If we do not follow Him we are lost. In Isaiah 35:8 we read, "And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein."

Study your Bibles. Learn what you must do to travel that highway which God called The way of holiness. You can only get to heaven if you know the Way.

Until next time, keep reading your Bibles. And if any of this is hard to understand, ask an adult to help you.
