El Elyon

Many children like to play a game called King of the Mountain. It is usually played on a large rock or a hill of dirt. One child gets on the top of the hill or rock and is the King. Every other child tries to push the King off so that they can become King. It is an innocent game and no one gets hurt as long as everyone plays right.

There have been men throughout time who also wanted to be King. Some have desired to be the King of the world. They have done many very bad things to many people just to try to be King of the world. But these type of men do not care how many people they hurt. They will do anything to have the power that they think will come with being the King.

What they do not realize is that there is already a King of the world. God is King of the world. In Daniel 4:17, we read, "This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones; to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men." The words 'most High' come from the Hebrew 'El Elyon.'

God is indeed the Most High God. He is above all men. He is above all rule and power. He is the Supreme One. He is in control. The world is His. He is in charge. No man can ever hope to be in charge. Man can only do what God allows him to do.

I want to live with the Most High God. He has said He wants me to live with Him in heaven. He also wants you to live with Him in heaven. Learn how to go to heaven. Read your Bible and obey it.
