Young Lions Get Hungry

"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." (Psalm 34:10)

The lion has always been viewed as a majestic animal. The lion was feared as a mighty hunter. The lion was seen as a powerful and fearless creature.

Many ancient societies used the lion as a symbol of power and royalty. Statutes of lions would be placed at the gates of cities. The statues would be placed all around the palace of the ruler. These statues were intended to be seen as guarding the palace.

Yet the lion at times went hungry. During severely dry summer months when there was little rain, many animals would die. Even the young, healthy and strong lion would not be able to find food. The lion would get very hungry.

God says the person who seeks after God would never get hungry like the lion. The person seeking God will always find spiritual food to eat. He will never go spiritually hungry if he is truly seeking after God. He will find all the spriritual food he needs in God's word, the Bible.

Be better than the young lion. Do not go hungry. Keep reading and studying God's word. Keep a desire to obey Him. And if any of this is hard to understand, ask an adult to help you.
