Wisdom's Corner
The Fountain of LifeIn the past many men heard tales of the Fountain of Youth. In some tales this fountain of youth was a fountain of water bubbling up from the ground. In some tales it was a spring of water. In some tales it was a pool of water. Whatever it was, it was highly looked for by those who believed in it.
If a person drank the water from the fountain of youth, that person would be made a youthful, strong person again. As long as the person drank the water, that person would never grow old. In the past this was very important. Due to many kinds of diseases and illnesses men did not live very long. But if a person could just find the fountain, he could live a very, very long time.
In Psalm 36:9, we read, "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light." The true fountain of life is with God the Father. And that fountain is Jesus Christ. Jesus said he was living water and he invited everyone to come and drink of Him (John 4:7-14). And a river with living water in heaven is spoken of in Revelation 22:1,2,17.
Make sure you drink from the Fountain of Life. Read God's word, the Bible, and learn how to obey God. Then obey Him so that one day you can live with Him in heaven.
Until next time, keep studying your Bible. And if any of this is hard to understand, ask an adult to help you.
